EDU - NatureWorks Ingeo 6060D
Ingeo biopolymer 6060D is a thermoplastic resin with an amorphous structure. It is primarily sourced from renewable resources that are available on an annual basis. This resin is provided in pellet form and is specifically designed for extrusion into staple fibers through traditional fiber spinning and drawing equipment. In addition to its standard use, Ingeo biopolymer 6060D can also function as a low melt binder polymer in a sheath-core configuration.
Ingeo biopolymer 6060D is a type of plastic made by NatureWorks. It's not structured in a specific way, and it can be melted and shaped when heated. This material is mainly created from plants that grow each year. It comes in small pieces called pellets and is meant to be used in making fibers. You can use regular equipment for making fibers to turn these pellets into strong and stretchy threads.
